Fun on Foot, The Race for Singapore's Firsts!
Rules & Regulations

General

  1. By participating in Fun on Foot, all participants would have read, understood, accepted, and agreed to comply with the rules and regulations stated below.
  2. Participation in Fun on Foot is open to anyone, including tourists. Children 12 years old or below must be accompanied by adult participants.
  3. Teams are required to register between 7.30am - 8.15am on Saturday, 21 July 2007 before the event starts.
  4. Participants must take part in groups of four.
  5. The Fun on Foot T-Shirts must be worn by all participants throughout the race. Participants seen not wearing the official Fun on Foot T-Shirt will be disqualified.
  6. The treasure hunt must be completed by teams on foot and by public buses only. Participants seen taking taxis or personal transport will be disqualified.
  7. Participants are reminded to bring along their EZ-Link card for public transportation.
  8. Winning teams will be judged based on the time taken to complete the competition and the number of correct answers, i.e. the fastest team at the finishing point with the most number of correct answers will emerge the champion. Teams whose answers are illegible will be disqualified.

Lucky Draw

  1. Each participant is entitled to one lucky draw opportunity only.
  2. The entire route must be completed by 2.30pm on the same day to qualify for the lucky draw.
  3. The lucky draw will be conducted on Saturday, 21 July 2007 at the event ground at the finishing point between 3.15pm - 3.30pm.
  4. Winners who are absent during the lucky draw or winning entries with invalid contact details will be disqualified. Another winner will be picked instead.
  5. The organisers' and judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

Appropriate Behaviour

  1. Dress comfortably for a long walk. However, since teams will be entering religious sites, participants should not be dressed in skimpy tops, such as spaghetti-strapped tops and shorts.
  2. Remove footwear before entering mosques, temples, and shrines. Sports shoes and sandals are recommended.
  3. Do not cross beyond barrier signs in Hindu temples.
  4. Respect to the devotees, worshippers, and the conduct of religious rites in the various religious monuments and sites must be shown at all times.
  5. Decorum must be maintained while visiting these sites, e.g. no loud conversations during the conduct of religious ceremonies or rites.
  6. Traffic rules must be observed at all times.
  7. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify participants who blatantly flout these rules.

NB:

By taking part in Fun On Foot, The Race for Singapore's Firsts!, participants agree that the organisers, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, satellite providers, advertising and promotions agencies, and their respective officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this event or from the acceptance or use/ misuse of the prize awarded. This includes, without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

The organisers, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, satellite providers, advertising and promotions agencies, and their respective officers, directors, and employees shall also not be eligible to participate in Fun on Foot, The Race for Singapore's Firsts!
