Synopsis

Combining the three cultural performances, Sembawang Primary School presents the following:
1. The dawn of spring !
Vibrant blooming of flowers and their sweet-smelling fragrance;
Attracting the beautiful butterflies,
Flitting and fluttering among them, gathering nectar.
A season of celebration.

2. A welcome dance, Anugerah Pusaka features the silat as the Malay traditional art of self-defence. The dynamic movements of the silata are complemented with the grace of the female dancers. Sireh Junjung' which are borne by the girls, symbolize the warmth and hospitality of the host in welcoming his guests.

3. The enchantment of nature is manifested in this dance. The peacocks show compassion towards the snakes by shielding them from the heavy downpour. This results in them becoming fast friends and putting aside animosity. They learn to forge teamwork and live harmoniously with each other.

SynopsisThe Malay dancers will dance with the accompaniment of the angklung of 'Labyrinth'. The dance depicts how confusing and complicated our life can be. Obstacles and hurdles appear at any unexpected moment and one needs to adapt or figure out a way to overcome it. Choices have to be made to determine the direction that we have to follow. An unwise choice may result in one being trapped in a dark labyrinth for as long as one can survive. This is to be followed by the Angklung ensemble with a medley of 3 pieces.
