Synopsis A selection of classic Malay songs that has various elements borrowed from various communities such as the witty Dondang Sayang from the Peranakans and the hip-swaying Dangdut from the Indonesians.
Fuchun Cultural Fiesta by Fuchun Secondary School

21 July 2009, Tues, 12.30pm
Synopsis Featuring four performances, Fuchun Secondary School will showcase firstly, "Zapinku Tari", a Malay dance that preserves the essence of tradition with the performers dancing joyfully on the stage. Next, 'dolls' will come to life with passion in dance in "Dubla". In "Treasures of Love", performers will portray a true story of the love and sacrifices of a teacher for her students during the Sichuan earthquake. Last but not least, the concert band will end the item with a bang of five wonderful musical pieces.

Synopsis A showcase consisting of diabolo (a juggling prop consisting of a spool which is whirled and tossed on a string tied to two sticks each held in one hand), Dikir Barat and tambourine dance performances.
