This 20-minute excerpt describes how the seventh daughter yearned for the busy life of the mortal world and her admiration for the scholar. |

| Synopsis | Among the different of traditional dance of Thailand, Manora Buchayan, a dance from the southern part of Thailand is known as the 'King of Rhythm'. The music is rather rhythmic and in fast tempo. Manora is a half bird - half woman creature in a traditional Thai literature represents. Buchayan is a ceremony for sacrifice. Besides the performance, the ensemble will also be performing Rabam Si Phaak, a set of performances demonstrating the cultural diversity from four regions of Thailand. |

| Synopsis | The wise words of the ancient sages of India are retold in the present 21st century setting through the age-old Panchatantra which showcases the morals, values and humour of the stories in a Bharatanatyam idiom. The presentation promises to be a tapestry of stories of friendship, bravery, quick-wittedness, foolishness, vile and guile, leadership and freedom woven together. Every story of the 'Panchatantra' has withstood the test of time, keeping its moral and philosophical theme intact. The production will be performed in a traditional format, reaching out to both adults and children alike, thereby reiterating the need for the youth of today to get back in touch with their roots, values and morals. Indian dance is not only energetic on account of the brisk movements, but the grace, poise and dignity associated with it also elevates the aesthetic appeal. |
