Synopsis In this half-hour wedding demonstration, you will get the opportunity to experience the ceremonies held during the several days of a Malay wedding. The grand affairs of the newlyweds start with the henna-staining ceremony, followed by the akad nikah ceremony which solemnises the wedding, and finally ending with the bersanding, a series of performances to entertain the newly-weds.

Synopsis Silat Pengantin is customarily performed to welcome Malay newly-weds who are deemed as royalty for the day and is usually done when they arrive at the groom's house. Such a performance is meant to be graceful and has to be done with great respect and etiquette. This showcase will present the "bunga-bunga" or flowery and softer side to the Malay martial art, Pencak Silat.

Synopsis Bhangra is the traditional dance form where revellers beat the dhol drum, sing and dance in celebration of the incoming wheat harvest. And when the infectious Bhangra rhythm is infused with Western popular music, you get an ultra modern Bhangra movement! This special performance features a pre-recorded mix of the dhol with synthesizers and elements of reggae, hip-hop, disco, techno, house and rap music.
